Over time, the Christian Heritage College grew to the point that it was renamed San Diego Christian College in 2005. Now a non-denominational institution, the San Diego Christian College is home to a student body of over 1,000 students.

With the motto “God, My Light” Mount Saint Mary’s University was originally founded in 1925. Established by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Mount Saint Mary’s University was created to provide an education to women within the area. Originally known as Mount St. Mary’s College, Mount Saint Mary’s University eventually was renamed to its current name in 2005. Located in Los Angeles, Calfornia, Mount Saint Mary’s University has become well-known for its beautiful and secluded campus. Because of its secluded nature, Mount Saint Mary’s University has been featured in many films. Mount Saint Mary’s University is also home to a primarily female population that is made up of 75% visible minority students. Sixty percent of the undergraduate classes at Mount Saint Mary’s University is made up of first-generation college students. Today, approximately 2,700 students are enrolled at Mount Saint Mary’s University.

Founded in Costa Mesa, Vanguard University of South California is one of the premier Christian universities in the state. Founded in 1920, Vanguard University of South California was formed in close association with the Assemblies of God. Originally founded by Harold K. Needham, D.W. Kerr, and W.C. Pierce, Vanguard University of South California was created in order to prepare Christian workers to work within the church. Known as the Southern California Bible College, the school was initially located in Los Angeles but was soon moved to Pasadena in 1927. After receiving a charter from the state of California, Vanguard University of South California was renamed to Southern California College. It wasn’t until 1999 that the school was renamed to Vanguard University of Southern California. Today, Vanguard University of South California enrolls a student body of just over 2,500 students at its Costa Mesa, California campus.

Born out of the San Fransico Art Association, the San Francisco Art Institute was established in 1871. Prior to the establishment of the San Fransico Art Institute, the San Francisco Art Association was a group of influential artists from the city of San Francisco who worked together to promote the arts within the city. Believing that the best way to promote art within the area as to start an art school, the San Francisco Art Institute was founded.  Originally known as the San Francisco Institute of Art, the school began to provide education to young students interested in learning more about contemporary art in hopes to maybe become artists themselves. Over the years, the San Francisco Art Institute continued to influence artistry within the city as well as all of California. Located in the Russian Hill district of San Francisco, the San Francisco Art Institute has remained a small but focused university. Today, approximately 600 students are enrolled at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Students can choose from Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts in a variety of different arts including photography, painting, music and much more.
