#1. Southern New Hampshire University

Established in downtown Manchester in 1932, Southern New Hampshire University opened under the name of the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Secretarial Science.  Founded by Harry A. B. Shapiro and Gertrude Crockett Shapiro, Southern New Hampshire University was opened with the original goal of providing working adults with a means to receive a higher education.  The school operated under its original name of the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Secretarial Science for almost three decades at which point it was renamed to the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Commerce to reflect a much wider curriculum at the school.  At this point in the school’s history, Southern New Hampshire University moved its campus from the edge of the Merrimack River to the border of Manchester and Hooksett.  Now, Southern New Hampshire University is home to a student body of 3,000 students on-campus and an additional 60,000 students online.  Southern New Hampshire University is a private institution.

Entrepreneurship Online Degree

Students at Southern New Hampshire University are able to enroll in a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Small Business Management degree.  This program of study has students learning crucial topics including Human Resource Management, Principles of Management, Social Environment of Business, Entrepreneurship, and much more.  Southern New Hampshire University offers this program entirely online and students are not required to visit the main campus to complete their studies.  Transfer credits are accepted but are not required.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this degree.

The pioneer of the Master of Fine Arts degree, the University of Iowa is the oldest university in the state of Iowa.  Opening its doors to students in 1847, the University of Iowas is located in Iowa City, a small mid-western city known for its night life.  Iowa City is also the only city in the United States to be included in UNESCO’s City of Literature program.  The University of Iowa’s 1,700-acre campus is currently located along the banks of the Iowa River, giving students a perfectly serene backdrop to pursue their education.  Boast a student body of just over 32,000 students, the University of Iowa offers over two-hundred different plans of study across its eleven different colleges.  University of Iowa is a public institution.

Entrepreneurship Online Degree

The Bachelor of Business Administration – Entrepreneurial Management degree is offered to students at the University of Iowa.  Identical to the program offered at the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business, students will learn all the necessary skills and information needed to succeed as an entrepreneurship.  By focusing on management skills, students will be prepared to begin their own small businesses with the knowledge needed for success.  This program is offered entirely online and does not require any visits to the University of Iowa campus.  Transfer credits are accepted into this program but are not required. A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this degree.

#3. Brandman University

Originally, Brandman University was located in Irvine, California on the grounds of the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station.  Established in 1861, Brandman University started as an additional branch of Chapman University.  Leveraging its location on the old El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, Brandman University originally focused on providing a high-quality education to soldiers.  The school’s popularity continued to grow over the years, eventually resulting in Brandman University being spun-off into its own school that was separated from Chapman University  Now, Brandman University has twenty-five campuses dotting the West Coast through Washington and California.  Brandman University is a private institution.

Entrepreneurship Online Degree

Students are able to enroll in a Bachelor of Business Administration – Entrepreneurship degree at Brandman University.  Through this program of study, students will study core business topics while taking courses specialized in the understanding of running a company.  Students will be tasked with writing a business plan, learning proper means of market entry, understanding different operating strategies, and much more.   Brandman University offers this program entirely online and does not require students to visit their campus to complete their studies.  Transfer credits are welcomed into the program but are not required.  A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this degree.

#4. Peirce College

At the end of the Civil War, Thomas May Peirce opened Peirce College under the original name, the Union Business College.  Anticipating a large economic boom at the end of the war, Thomas May Peirce wanted to to ensure that soldiers returning back from war had a place that they could study to learn skills and trades that would ensure success in the new booming economy.  In 1865, Thomas May Peirce opened Peirce College to men and women, making it one of the earliest coeducational facilities in the country.  In 1917, the school’s name was changed from Union Business College to the Peirce School of Business Administration.  Soon after it was renamed the Peirce Junior College upon being granted the ability to offer associate degrees, and finally was renamed Peirce College.  Home to nearly 1,900 student, Peirce College is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Peirce College is a private institution.

Entrepreneurship Online Degree

The Bachelor of Business Administration – Entrepreneurship / Small Business Management degree is offered to students at Peirce College.  This program of study has students studying topics including capitalization, business plan development, competitive intelligence gathering, and launch planning.  Peirce College offers this program entirely online and does not require students to visit the Peirce College campus to complete their studies.  Transfer credits are accepted by the program but are not required.  A minimum of 121 credits are required to complete this degree.

In 1885, the Territorial Normal School, what would eventually become Arizona State University, began accepting its first class of students in Tempe, Arizona.  After over a century of growth, the heart of Arizona State University still remains at its original campus in Tempe.  However, the school has had to add additional campuses to accommodate growth.  Arizona State University operates five additional campuses throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.  In 2014, Arizona State University operated a new model of education known as the “New American University” model.  This model focuses on accepting as many students into the school as possible and focusing on their strengths rather than creating an exclusionary environment.  This change in philosophy has led to a surge in students, pushing Arizona State University’s student population to 82,000 students.  Arizona State University is a public institution. 

Entrepreneurship Online Degree

Students at Arizona State University are able to enroll in a Bachelor of Science in Technological Entrepreneurship degree.  Through this course of study, students will focus on topics related to entrepreneurship through a lens that focuses on the creation of technology-based companies.  Students in this program will study courses including Design Methodology, Enterprise Strategy and Innovation, and much more.  This program is available entirely online and does not require any visits to the Arizona State University campus.  Transfer credits are accepted into this program but are not required. A minimum of 120 credits are required to complete this degree.
