Lewis University, founded in 1932, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and lists itself as a member of the North Central Association. The school is home to over 6,500 students with over 25 countries represented. Over 85 percent of students receive financial aid in the form of grants, scholarships, loans and other types of payments. Last year, Lewis dispersed over 57 million dollars of aid to its students.

Tuition at Lewis ranges from $595-$775 per credit hour. Full-time students taking 12-18 credits are charged a block tuition fee of just over $13,000 per year. Lewis University’s online degree programs are considered some of the finest not only in Illinois, but also in the United States. Because many of its students are working adults, the majority of online degrees are graduate degrees. Students can choose from a variety of programs. Master’s degrees are available in Public Safety Administration, Nursing, Organizational Leadership, Information Security, Criminal Justice and Aviation and Transportation. The Criminal Justice program is one of Lewis’ most popular programs, offering students concentrations in Homeland Security or Social Justice.The Organizational Leadership degree program lets students choose from five concentrations including Training and Development, Public Administration and Non-profit Management.
